Gliding inserts

Gliding inserts act as friction pads. Each track element uses two inserts.

They gradually wear due to friction between the plastic insert and the stainless-steel rails. Proper lubrication significantly reduces wear—the better the skis are oiled, the longer the inserts last.

With regular maintenance, a well-kept ski can be used for several years without needing to replace these parts.
