Once your grasski order arrives, there are a few important steps to complete before your first run. Follow this checklist to get started correctly.

Keep the protective cover foil on

After opening the package, do not remove the protective cover foil from the grasski. This is a special foil that protects the skiing surface from dust, mud and grass — all of which increase friction and slow the ski down. Without the foil in place, speed performance will degrade noticeably faster.

Mount the binding

Install the binding before your first use. We have prepared step-by-step tutorials for each model:

Oil the grasski before the first use

Proper lubrication is essential. Watch the grasski maintenance tutorial before you go out for the first time.

Outside the EU? Due to airline shipping restrictions, oil is not included in packages shipped outside the European Union. You will need to source it locally. Any ecological oil works well — oil used for garden or forestry machines is ideal. The recommended oil viscosity is between ISO 40–68. Do not use spray lubricants such as WD-40: they evaporate quickly and leave a dry film that does not provide sufficient long-term lubrication for grasski.
