You can find two types of binding on our skis. X-Race Cup and X-Race Kite ski use screw-bolt for fixing binding hooks to binding plate. SpeedyJack and X-Race Rent ski use only hooks without any screw-bolt. First type with screws is intended for aggressive skiers as screws guarantee more stiff joint. Negative effect of using screws is more difficult primary assembly. With our instructions is it much easier: First task is to find orientation of ski/binding plate. Front part of binding plate has more opening for higher weight reduction. If you do not see more openings (which are on first picture) you can look for cut out on rail. Cut out is always in front part of ski. Before you will start with assembly you have to find middle position of boot and binding plate. You should always try to put ski boot in the middle of binding plate. Bigger deviation than 6mm (one hole in binding plate) can cause reduced turning ability and overall reduced ski control. Now you are prepared to assembly binding. At first put front hook on ski. To do so, use enclosed screws, mats and female screws. As you can see on left picture, mats should be located between hook and binding plate. Assembly of rear hook is nearly similar, but mats should be located not only between hook and binding plate, but also between hook and female screws. Always put front and rear hooks so it will strongly hold ski boot. After proper tightening of all screws, look again if the boot holds solidly with ski. |
